Master Instructors is honored to announce that Shane Vande Voort of Pella, Iowa. has achieved the Master Instructor accreditation for the Eleventh time. This accreditation recognizes his more than twenty-two years as an Aviation Educator and his commitment to professional excellence. Shane is a second-generation flight instructor who owns and operates Classic Aviation, Inc. the fixed base operator at the Pella Municipal Airport and the Oskaloosa Municipal Airport. He instructs in a variety of aircraft from vintage taildraggers to high-performance technically advanced aircraft, namely as part of the award-winning Cirrus Pilot Proficiency Program. Shane also administers check rides from Sport pilot to Airline Transport Pilot as a designated pilot examiner for the FAA Des Moines Flight Standards District Office. As the fixed base operator at Pella for 26 years, Shane flies as a local contract corporate pilot in a variety of business jets. As a longtime flight instructor, he is thankful that he has been able to expose new people to aviation, help aviators achieve their goals, and work to provide needed aviation services in his hometown area. Shane enjoys flying and maintaining vintage airplanes and traveling in general aviation aircraft with his family.

Master Instructors is honored to announce that Joel Weaner of Jacksonville, Florida has just received his Twelfth accreditation as a Master Instructor which recognizes his long-term commitment to education excellence for more than twenty-five years. Joel serves as a lead FAASTeam Representative for the FAA’s Orlando / North Florida FSDO. He also owns and operates Beach Banners based at Jacksonville’s Craig Municipal Airport, providing aerial advertising services and aircraft rental while offering flight training in technically advanced aircraft and tailwheels. Joel also added to his credentials a type rating in the King Air 360 in 2023.
