Master Instructors is honored to name Michael Elliott of Tarpon Springs, Florida, as our latest Master Instructor Emeritus, recognizing decades of contributions to aviation through education and philanthropy. He is the founder of Mooney Summit, Inc., fostering a community of Mooney pilots dedicated to advancing their skills and sharing their love for flight. An experienced and knowledgable educator, he has trained over 200 Mooney pilots. Under this umbrella he established the Bill Gilliland Foundation, helping families of downed Mooney pilots. He is also founding pilot of Honor Flight, creating unforgettable experiences for veterans by facilitating their visits to memorials honoring their service.
Michael has also contributed significantly to the enhancement of aviation safety through AOPA and FAA Safety Team volunteering, serving as a FAASTeam Lead Representative. He currently enjoys the position of CEO of Mooney Pros, Inc., founded at the behest of Mooney International to provide unparalleled type-specific training by Mooney Specific Master instructors.
